The mobile maintenance system comprises following units and arrangements:
- manipulating crane arrangement;
- welding unit;
- car lifting unit;
- special arrangement set;
- pedestal;
- snow blade.
The EK equipment enables to perform the following maintenance operations:
- nar lifting;
- running gear rolling-off;
- wheelset, car truck, bearings, and break shoes replacement;
- automatic coupling spring set and friction wedge replacement;
- hatch closing and straithening;
- car door replacing;
- welding,
- change parts’ transportation at short (under 30 m) train stops on maintenance railways.
Such maintenance reduces car time-out losses by 30-40-times and over compared with the existing repair technology, when a car is set out and brought to repair area.
When the repair time under existing technology together with subsequent car return to the line amounts over 24 hours with a significant workload for maneuvering, the repair time per one wheelpair together with other above operations when using the mobile repair system does not exceed 20 minutes.
