The 2S41 Mortar System is a traversing turret with an integrated 82mm breech-loaded mortar (82mm 2B27B turret), mounted on a 4х4 wheeled armored vehicle.
The secondary armament is an all-round remote controlled combat module* with a 7.62mm machine-gun.
Among the advantages of the 2S41 are its maneuverability, high speed and cross-country mobility, self-sustainability, automation of the main prepare-to-fire processes, protection of a crew of four people and ammunitions, and a capability to fire not only from the platform, but from the ground as well using an optional vehicle-portable 2B24 mortar.
A set of digital on-board equipment allows the 2S41 system to execute combat missions in autonomous mode and enables secure data exchange with command and control vehicles.
